Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: 7 October 2026
Byte & Gear publishes technology buying advice, comparisons and research-based product analyses. We want you to understand the difference between editorial recommendations and the links that may support the publication.
How affiliate links work
An affiliate link can contain a referral identifier. If you follow such a link and make a qualifying purchase, the merchant or affiliate network may pay Byte & Gear a commission. The price you pay is determined by the merchant; the referral does not normally add a fee for you.
Not every external link is an affiliate link. Official manufacturer pages and documentation links may be included simply to let you verify details or explore an option. A link to a brand does not mean that brand has approved, sponsored or partnered with us.
What you will see in articles
Commercial articles include a disclosure before their recommendations. Where an active affiliate relationship is used, the link is identified as an affiliate link and marked appropriately for search engines. We do not claim participation in a specific programme without being accepted into it.
Editorial independence
Our recommendations are based on documented features, everyday use cases, compatibility and tradeoffs. Potential commission does not buy a positive conclusion. We include reasons to avoid or reconsider a product as well as reasons to consider it.
We do not fabricate hands-on testing, scores, buyer reviews or awards. Research-based analysis is explained in the article and in our editorial policy. If paid sponsorship is introduced, the article will be clearly labelled.
Before purchasing
Check the final price, exact model, regional compatibility, delivery charges, warranty and returns policy on the merchant’s website. Your purchase and any resulting support or return arrangement are with the merchant. Product stock and commercial terms can change after an article is published.
